Express Entry Draw – Largest All-Program Draw In Canada History

On March 15, 2023, Canada held its sixth Express Entry draw, inviting 7,000 candidates. The Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were distributed through an all-program draw. The cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for this draw was 490 points.

The number of ITAs issued in this draw broke the previous record set in the all-program draw on January 18 with 5,500 ITAs. Applicants from all three Express Entry programs are taken into consideration in the all-program draw: 

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  2. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  3. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

Only the draw in February 2021, which resulted in 27,332 invitations being extended to applicants for the Canada Experience Class, issued more ITAs. This was Canada’s third all-program Express Entry draw in 2023. The first two draws saw 5,500 ITAs. Also, it has held three draws for applicants to the Provincial Nominee Program (PNPs) and one specifically for Federal Skilled Worker applicants. After accepting 45,115 candidates in 2022, Canada issued 24,260 ITAs in 2023.

All Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program applicants received an ITA from IRCC in 2021, totalling 114,431. It surpassed the prior record, which was 107,350 in 2020.
