Visitor Visa Approval For A Dedicated Psychologist After Multiple Refusals

Case Study: Visitor Visa Approval for a Dedicated Psychologist After Multiple Refusals

At Arnika Visa, we take pride in helping clients overcome challenging immigration hurdles. This is the inspiring story of Fae, a psychologist from Iran who successfully obtained her visitor visa approval after two refusals. Her persistence, professional support, and well-prepared reapplication ultimately led to a positive outcome.

Background of the Case

Fae, an experienced psycho-physiotherapist, sought to visit Canada to attend the 2025 Symposium on Child and Youth Trauma and reconnect with a close family friend, Sam, a Canadian citizen. Her visit aimed to advance her professional knowledge and strengthen personal ties.

Her initial visitor visa application was refused on June 3, 2024, with reasons including:

  • Lack of significant family ties outside Canada.
  • Purpose of visit inconsistent with a temporary stay.

Despite addressing some concerns in her reapplication, her second attempt on August 15, 2024, was also refused. The reasons expanded to include:

  • Insufficient financial situation to support her travel.

These setbacks did not deter Fae. Determined to pursue her professional aspirations, she sought professional assistance from RCIC, Reza Eslami at Arnika Visa.

Strategic Approach: Judicial Review

After reviewing her case, the RCIC, recommended pursuing a Judicial Review (JR) at the Federal Court. The application challenged IRCC’s refusal on grounds of inadequate consideration of her financial and professional ties to Iran.

On October 7, 2024, the IRCC lawyer issued a settlement offer, overturning the August refusal and ordering a new evaluation by a different IRCC visa officer. This provided Fae with an opportunity to present updated documentation and address the concerns raised in previous refusals.

Strengthening the Application

On November 20, 2024, IRCC requested updated documentation for redetermination. With the RCIC‘s guidance, Fae submitted a comprehensive response that included:

  1. Detailed Purpose of Travel: Highlighting her participation in the symposium and its relevance to her career as a psycho-physiotherapist.
  2. Enhanced Proof of Financial Stability: Including updated bank statements, savings, and gold investment transactions to demonstrate her ability to fund the trip.
  3. Affidavit of Intent to Return Home: Officially declaring her strong ties to Iran and commitment to leaving Canada after the visit.
  4. Professional Documentation: CV detailing her career achievements, Employment reference letters, proof of authorized leave from her current job, and Confirmation of ongoing professional obligations in Iran.
  5. Travel Plan and Itinerary: A detailed schedule including conference participation and visits to cultural sites in Canada.

The updated application presented a compelling case, addressing all IRCC visa officer concerns raised in the previous refusals.

Visitor Visa Approval and a Happy Outcome

On December 11, 2024, Fae received her visitor visa approval, allowing her to visit Canada for the symposium and reconnect with her family friend. Her persistence and the strategic approach taken by Arnika Visa made this success possible.

How Can We Help You With Your Visitor Visa Application?

At Arnika Visa, if you want to apply for a Visa Canada, we can assist you from filing the immigration forms to guiding you through supporting documents; we take care of it all. We can advise you professionally regarding the required personalized supporting documents to increase the chance of your TRV approval and, finally, submit your TRV application to IRCC on your behalf as an authorized representative.

These days, the TRV applications are more than just filling out the forms and showing enough funds to cover your expenses. Accordingly, preparing a solid application from the beginning will place a step forward and strong precedent even to prevent an application from being judicially reviewed (JR).

The IRCC officers know when the applications are well-prepared, which means they would follow through all the stages, including Judicial Review (JR) at the Federal Court, so they would think twice before making a Canada Visa refusal decision. It has been widespread that ghost consultants file TRV applications, although it is illegal since they have no license to do so. By doing so, you miss the second chance to be accepted at the Federal Court level, as the TRV application wasn’t prepared in a way to address all legal IRCC officers’ concerns. Thus, Arnika Visa recommends seeking legal guidance from an Expert RCIC to have a better chance of successful TRV applications
